Stellar have replaced traditional pre-cut knife slots with a block housing hundreds of long fibre rods which when faced with a knife will move to securely grip any shape (up to a maximum 20cm length blade). The outside of the block is kept clean by wiping with a damp clean cloth, whilst the rods can be removed and cleaned, thus offering a more hygienic storage system than traditional knife blocks.
