Returning an order made simple.

Need to send something back? Here’s everything you need to know before returning an item to Smyths Homevalue.

7 Days Change-of-mind returns must be requested within 7 days of receiving your order.
24 Hours Damages or breakages must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
30 Days Approved refunds are normally credited within 30 days of returned goods being received.
DPD Return eligible parcels through DPD Pickup using Smyths Homevalue from the returns dropdown.
Standard Returns

Changed your mind?

  • Returns must be requested within 7 days of receiving your order.
  • Items must be unused and in their original condition and packaging.
  • Return shipping is arranged and paid for by the customer.
  • Original delivery fees are non-refundable unless the error is on our behalf.
Faulty or Damaged

Something wrong?

  • Report damages or breakages within 24 hours of delivery.
  • If an item is defective, contact us immediately.
  • We may replace, repair or refund depending on the issue.
  • If the error is ours, we will refund the applicable delivery cost.
Mixed Paints

Custom mixed paint cannot be returned.

Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, Paint & Paper Library, Colourtrend, Dulux, Fleetwood and Tikkurila paints are mixed in house to your chosen colour and finish.

Because these paints are bespoke and made to your order, they cannot be returned for change of mind, incorrect ordering or colour selection. We strongly recommend ordering tester pots before purchasing larger tins.

Pre-Mixed Paint

Unopened cans only.

  • Unopened pre-mixed paint can be returned if unused and in original condition.
  • A €10 restocking fee applies per can.
  • Tester pots and samples are final sale and non-refundable.
Electrical Items

Security seals must be intact.

  • Electrical items must be returned in original condition.
  • Items with security seals can only be returned if the seal has not been tampered with.
  • Used or altered items may not be eligible for refund.
Return With DPD

Use DPD Pickup.

Go to dpd.ie/Returns

Select “Continue as guest”.

Choose “Smyths Homevalue” from the dropdown.

Print your label and drop off at your nearest DPD Pickup Point.
Return By Post

Send it back safely.

We recommend using registered or tracked post. Customers assume the risk of lost, stolen or damaged goods during return transit.
Refunds

When will I be refunded?

  • Refunds are processed after returned goods are received and inspected.
  • Approved refunds are credited within 30 days of receipt of the returned product.
  • Until returned goods are received, replacement products may remain chargeable.
  • Your statutory rights are not affected.
