Returns Policy

In the event that an order needs to be returned please contact the store at 053 - 9233323 or alternatively you can email info@smythshomevalue.ie. to get in touch with us.

When you make an online purchase you have a statutory right to return goods up to 7 days after receiving your order and we will ensure that your account is credited by the original amount within the following 30 days. 

If a product is defective in any way please return it immediately and we will either deliver a new one to you or refund you the cost of the product. Any breakages or damages must be reported to us within 24 hours of delivery. 

All items returned must be in their original condition for example Electrical items which contain a security seal can only be returned if the seal has not been tampered with. 

You will only be refunded your delivery cost on the return if the error is on our behalf, We will absorb the delivery cost if you have spent more then €50 and should you return these goods you are liable for the cost of returning them unless it is as a result of an error on our end. (e.g. faulty product or incorrectly shipped). 

Until we have received the returned product in its original condition you will be charged for any replacement products (including delivery). 

Should we agree to provide you with a refund we will credit your account within 30 days of receipt of the returned product. Your statutory rights are not effected. 

Mixed Paints 

Please note that all paints from the following brands are mixed in house to your specific colour and finish, Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, Paint & Paper Library, Colourtrend, Dulux, Fleetwood and Tikkurila. 

As mixed paints are mixed uniquely just for you, we can’t take returns based on change of mind or incorrect ordering. 

Under European Law, the Consumer Rights Directive ensures a consumer’s rights are protected when you buy from businesses based in the EU, and it is our duty to inform you (Directive on Consumer Rights, Art. 6.1.k) that because the above mentioned brands are tinted paints, bespoke and made to the customer’s order, we cannot offer returns on these paints bought online.

Paint Online is exempt from the 14 day ‘cooling off’ period consumers usually have under European Law. This exemption can be found under the Directive on Consumer Rights, Article 16 sub C:

“Member States shall not provide for the right of withdrawal set out in Articles 9 to 15 in respect of distance and off-premises contracts as regards the following:

(c) the supply of goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised.”

We strongly advise that customers order tester pots prior to purchasing tins of paint, as all sales are final.

Returns made for change of mind:

Returns must be processed within 7 days of the order being received.

Return shipping to Paint Online’s store at Rooms & Blooms Ltd., 10 Rafter Street, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford is to be arranged and paid for by the customer. We recommend that you return the product via Registered Post and require that you pre-pay all postage. You assume any risk of lost, stolen or damaged goods during transit and therefore we advise you insure your parcel. Paint Online will not be responsible for parcels lost, stolen or damaged in transit if not insured.

Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

Pre Mixed Paint – All cans of paint from our pre mixed ranges that are unopened, unused and in their original condition and packaging can be returned. These returns are subject to a €10 restocking fee per can.

Accessories – Any accessories that are unused, unopened and in their original condition and packaging can be returned.

Tester Pots – Tester Pots and samples are final sale and non-refundable.
