Easi Gas PTFE Tape - Gas Approved is suitable for use on gas threaded joints. With a melting point of 320 degree Celsius and a high resistance to friction, PTFE tape is an ideal substitute for hemp and jointing paste. A single wrap of this 2mm thick tape is all that’s needed to provide a seal around the thread. Just wind around the thread in the opposite direction to that used to insert the thread into the fitting.
